How To Study Physiology – A Complete Physiology Study Guide

by Anton Weiersmuller on November 11, 2011

Hey, Anton here,

And you’re reading my uncensored review of what I really thought about Dr. Ross’ How to Study Physiology

Note that this a review though, if you’re looking for Dr. Ross’ How to Study Physiology website then click here.

Why am I writing this? Well, when I was thinking about buying Dr. Ross’ complete physiology study guide, there weren’t many real, honest reviews around so I thought I’d write one quickly to help any of you who are in the same position I was.

But be warned, I’ll be going into both the good and the bad points, so if that’s something you might not want to hear, then you may as well leave now.

To begin, I would like to say how I came to be writing this review, basically I am a medical student, and although I love what I do, I certainly don’t have the greatest memory in the world. So when I came to  study  physiology, I always found it difficult

I then came across Dr. Ross’ amazing How to Study Physiology guide. Let me tell you about it.

Basically It’s creator, Dr James Ross P.H.D has compiled a physiology study guide that contains everything you need to know about human anatomy, physiology and drug therapy. Not only that it comes with diagrams, step by step courses, lesson plans and quizzes.

This makes it a great resource if like me, you need to quickly learn and memorise a lot of information about human anatomy and physiology. It uses 3 Special features to help you study physiology effectively:

Feature 1: Uses lot of diagrams, charts and graphics- this in itself is a great learning aid

Feature 2: It Uses Memory Aids, as you are probably aware, it is much easier to remember wild vivid images rather than dry facts. Why do you think billboard and TV use images rather than fact to sell their products

Feature 3: Each chapter has revision quizzes and answers to really drill the material home. These really helps not only to really solidify the material, but also help to identify the area where your strengths and weaknesses lie.

The proof that this really works is that hundreds of students such as myself have used this how to study physiology guide to successfully revise for exams and studied  all the aspect of human physiology.

Remember this is just a review, for the complete  Physiology Study Guide click here

Dr Ross’ How To Study Physiology Review

by Anton Weiersmuller on August 16, 2011

How To Study Physiology

Good Day Everyone!

Studying physiology and anatomy can certainly be a challenging experience, believe me I know. That is why most people, like myself, will benefit for a good how to study physiology guide. But it is often difficult to know which physiology study guides are good and which ones aren’t.

For this reason I would like to share my experiences of Dr Ross’ How To Study Physiology guide, if like me you are a student and want help with your exam study, or maybe you’re a teacher looking for some teaching aids, then I hope that my honest review of this physiology study guide will help you to know if it is the right product for you.

Let me start by describing Dr Ross’ Complete  Physiology Study Course to you, it is a 3000+ page program that covers every aspect of human physiology, anatomy and drug therapy. But it is not some long winded technical manual; every chapter has a complete set of diagrams and visual aids, as well as revision quizzes and answers.

Remember this is just a review to see this amazing physiology study guide click here.

In the following you will read an objective review of Dr Ross’ physiology home study course, I will cover the course content, some matters to consider before buying, and my overall opinion of whether this course is worth the money.

What’s Inside The How To Study Physiology At Home Study Course?

The course breaks down it three primary sections, I will briefly describe these to you, however for a more detailed explanation go to Dr Ross’ site physiology study guide website.

Section 1: Human Anatomy and Physiology:

This is the backbone of the course; it is divided into 17 lessons covering all aspects of human physiology and anatomy. These lessons are extremely detailed, yet still easy to follow. The many diagrams, as well as the quizzes and review sections at the end of each chapter also really help you to  absorb all of the information.

 Section 2: Drug Dosage,Therapy & Pharmacology

This is an extremely detailed look into pharmacology and drug therapy, here is a brief overview of some of what it covers:

  • Dosage Calculations
  • Basic Pharmacology
  • Central Nervous System Drugs
  • Autonomic and Cardiovascular Drugs
  • Drugs Used to Prevent and Treat Infection
  • Pharmacology I, II and III
  • Pharmacology Math for the Practical Nurse

Section 3: Detailed Illustrations Graphics Pack

These illustrations alone are a great resource, but when used in combination with the first two sections and a whole new dimension to this how to study physiology course. Honestly for someone like me these are an invaluable tool, being a visual learner, rather than some who can just memorise long lists, having this diagrams and illustration really meant I was able to get the most “bang for my buck” out of my physiology study time.

Human Anatomy

What Made This Physiology Study Guide Stand Out To Me?

  • Extremely extensive – with  over 3000 pages
  • Clear and easy to follow
  • Great  use of diagrams and visual aids
  • Very well structured, with detailed explanations, as well as review sections and quizzes
  • 60 day no questions asked money back guarantee
  • Great value for money

Some Points to consider before buying Dr Ross’ How to Study Physiology Course

I think the most important thing to keep in mind is that this is designed as a study or teaching aid, not as your main study material. Therefore I think it would best suit existing medical or massage students and teachers, or perhaps medical professionals looking to revise or improve their knowledge of  human anatomy and physiology.

I feel it is really important to point this out as in my experience, although this program defiantly helped me to improve my grades, it was not a substitute for my core course material

The How To Study Physiology Challenge

Dr Ross’ has also admitted that this complete physiology study program is not an overnight miracle, he has painstakingly compiled this complete human physiology study guide from hundreds of sources. It is probably the most extensive compilation of diagrams, references and material on human physiology and anatomy found online today, and until recently was only available to medical professionals. However it has now been made available to the general public, in the hope that it will help teachers, students and medical professionals to better understand human anatomy and physiology.

How To Study Physiology is defiantly worth the investment for anybody who is studying or teaching any aspect of physiology, and since it now includes a bonus nursing and paramedics master course it is even better value for money.
